Hello, this is GOA and i trying to do my first guide on one of my fav champ
MAOKAI, the Twisted Treant
As Maokai is not a hot pick, i would like to intro Maokai to ur
For this guide, i will focus on jungle Maokai. Other than being a imba ganker, Maokai is 1 of the fastest junglers. He can get to lv4 in an instant.
Runes
Greater Mark of Alacity x9
Greater Seal of Resilence x9
Greater Glyph of Shielding x4
Greater Glyph of Potency x5
Greater Quintessence of Potency x3
Spell
Smite + Flash or Smite + Ghost
Masteries
0/21/9 or 0/9/21
Skills Order
Q - 2,7,8,9,10
W - 4,12,13,14,15
E - 1,3,5,17,18
R - 6,11,16
Item
Start - Regrowth Pendant + 2hp pot or Cloth Armour + 6hp pot or boot of speed + 4hp pot
Early Core - Philosopher's Stone + Boot of Mobility + Heart of Gold(if early fed, can skip heart of gold)
Mid Game - Boot of Mobility + Frozen Heart + Shurelya's Reverie(if enemy ap fed, get a Negatron Cloak also)
Late Game - Boot of Mobility + Frozen Heart + Shurelya's Reverie + Warmog's Armour + Force of Nature + Banshee's Veil/Thornmail
Jungling Route
Start wif wraith, 4 saplings should be able to do the job
rush blue,2 or 3 saplings + smite
wolves->wraith->golem->red(of cuz if enemy overextend should try gank if u can sucure kill)
after tat u should often do defending, ganking or roaming
of cuz pls keep warding if team no support for warding purposes
Gameplay
I play Maokai as a tank as i find ap Maokai is too squishy to sustain in clash.
As a Maokai, u should tak on the job of the initiator of ur team.
